Neo has announced a significant upgrade to its MainNet, moving to version 0.5.1. This latest release introduces several enhancements, including improved handling of Envelope transactions. Notably, the upgrade maintains compatibility with previous versions 0.4.2 and 0.5.0, eliminating the need for node resynchronization.
In addition to the upgrade, Neo has partnered with SpoonOS to host the London Bowl, the third event in the ongoing Scoop AI Hackathon series. This event, scheduled for December 6-7 at Encode Hub in Shoreditch, will bring together developers for a weekend focused on building decentralized AI applications using the combined technology stack of Neo and SpoonOS.
Prior to the London Bowl, SpoonOS conducted an online workshop aimed at fostering skills in Go development and data storage on the NeoFS platform. The workshop, presented in Russian by developers Andrey Butusov and Tural Devrishev, was well-received, furthering community engagement.
Moreover, SpoonOS hosted its ninth AI Co-Learning Program, featuring a session on Graph-Language Systems, led by Shengyao Lu from the University of Victoria. Participants had the opportunity to win prizes, including $200 in GAS and OpenRouter API Keys.
In gaming news, World of Elements released version 1.10 of its single-player RPG. This update introduced various quality-of-life improvements, rebalancing features, new content, and performance enhancements, continuing the integration with the Neo blockchain and the FRANK token reward system.
