The recent BNB Hack Abu Dhabi event took place on December 5-6, 2025, uniting a diverse array of developers and innovators to create and present groundbreaking blockchain solutions. Hosted at 42 Abu Dhabi, the hackathon attracted 44 teams from multiple countries, each focusing on sectors such as DeFi, AI, and on-chain payments.
The two-day program commenced with welcoming remarks from prominent figures including the BNB Chain team and He Yi, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Binance. Participants engaged in workshops that covered topics such as AI-driven smart contract automation and the design of prediction markets. The hackathon ensured continuous technical support, enabling teams to develop prototypes and smart contracts throughout the event.
Teams benefited from the expertise of 14 mentors from leading organizations and external partners, including Trust Wallet, ChainIDE, and the Abu Dhabi Blockchain Center. These mentors provided valuable insights into technical architecture, AI agents, and tokenomics, assisting participants in refining their projects for evaluation.
A panel discussion focused on crypto startup incubation in the UAE emphasized the region”s nurturing environment for blockchain innovation. Speakers from the Abu Dhabi Blockchain Center and Hub71 shared perspectives on local funding strategies and the benefits of establishing operations in the UAE as opposed to other global hubs.
Three exemplary teams from the hackathon were awarded a share of the $160,000 prize pool along with potential investment opportunities. The team DeFi Pro clinched first place with their AI-powered DeFi assistant, while Midas and HeroPath secured second and third places, respectively. The event culminated in a Demo Night, during which SilentSwap, Renaiss, and Orbit AI were recognized as winners.
The BNB Hack Abu Dhabi effectively showcased the vibrant spirit of innovation within the blockchain sector, demonstrating strong participation and a collaborative atmosphere. This event paves the way for future local hackathons aimed at advancing blockchain technology.
