KuCoin opens a Sydney office, appoints James Pinch as MD, and launches a campaign with golfer Adam Scott.

KuCoin, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has taken a significant step in its global expansion by establishing a new office in Sydney, Australia. This move is marked by the appointment of James Pinch as the managing director, tasked with spearheading the firm”s growth in the region.

The new headquarters is set to function as a regional hub, focusing on enhancing local roles in compliance, cybersecurity, operations, and product development over the coming year. Pinch, who brings extensive experience from the finance and fintech sectors, has previously built and scaled multiple businesses emphasizing transparency and operational efficiency. He noted that KuCoin is committed to investing in local employment and infrastructure, responding to the rising demand for digital assets in Australia.

With projections indicating that the Australian cryptocurrency market could reach $1.2 billion in revenue by 2026, KuCoin already serves over 360,000 users in the country. Cryptocurrencies have emerged as Australia”s third most-held asset class, surpassing more traditional investment vehicles such as ETFs and international equities. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen KuCoin“s regulatory alignment and uphold institutional-grade security standards as the market continues to evolve.

In a bid to deepen its local engagement, KuCoin has also launched its inaugural marketing campaign in collaboration with renowned Australian golfer and Masters champion, Adam Scott. Throughout the season, Scott will carry a KuCoin-branded golf bag during key tournaments, including the prestigious Australian Open at Royal Melbourne and the PGA Championship. Scott expressed his long-standing interest in cryptocurrency and acknowledged KuCoin“s commitment to security and long-term strategic thinking, aligning with his own professional philosophy.

The campaign, themed “Integrity First,” aims to resonate with audiences across Australia, leveraging Scott”s influence and credibility in the sports arena to enhance awareness of KuCoin“s offerings and values.
