COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Nov. 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA), a pioneering non-profit established by Bybit, has successfully wrapped up the Blockchain Impact Forum 2025 in Copenhagen. This event, conducted in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Alternative Finance Lab (AltFinLab), convened over 300 policymakers, technologists, and impact leaders from more than 30 nations to discuss the role of blockchain in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Conducted on November 4-5, the Forum began with a leadership day titled “Chains of Change,” which focused on governance, digital public infrastructure, and cross-sector partnerships. The second day featured the inaugural BGAwards, showcasing blockchain projects that tackle real-world issues related to financial inclusion, sustainability, and digital trust. This marked a significant milestone as the first major event dedicated solely to demonstrating blockchain”s potential for global good.
Key discussions at the Forum revolved around three central themes: Blockchain for Digital Public Goods, which examined governance and digital identity; Finance for Inclusion and Impact, which highlighted blockchain”s potential to democratize capital access; and Sustainability and Climate Accountability, showcasing real-world applications in carbon tracking and supply chain transparency.
Notable speakers included Helen Liu, Co-CEO of Bybit and Founder of the Blockchain for Good Alliance; Robert Pasicko from UNDP AltFinLab; Frederik Gregaard, CEO of the Cardano Foundation; and David Ripley, CEO of Kraken. Their insights underscored how blockchain can enhance transparency and foster trust in systems, ultimately bridging innovation and global development.

The Forum concluded with the BGAwards 2025, which recognized blockchain initiatives making significant contributions to the SDGs and exemplifying the power of innovation for public good. Winners of the SDG Blockchain Accelerator received $2,000 each, including projects such as Genius Tags, Plastiks, and ZenGate.
Winners of the BGA Incubation 2025 program included Kelox in the Ideation Stage, receiving $10,000, while Token Tails took the top prize in the Growth Stage with $30,000.
Throughout the event, participants emphasized the importance of collaboration across sectors to ensure that blockchain innovations align with developmental goals.
