In October, Gate Exchange outperformed its competitors, achieving the highest growth rate among centralized exchanges. Despite Binance retaining the top position in terms of total trading volume, Gate”s strategic advancements led to significant increases in its metrics.
The platform”s expansion is attributed to several factors, including the successful implementation of Gate Layer, as well as the launch of new launchpools, launchpads, and perpetual futures trading options. Gate recorded an impressive spot trading volume of $159 million, reflecting a 31% increase month-over-month and granting it a 6.57% market share.
Moreover, Gate introduced a total of 35 new launchpools in the past two months, significantly outpacing its competitors: Bitget managed only 8, Bybit launched 6, and Binance introduced just 1. Users participating in these initiatives were rewarded with a total of $3.3 million.
Overall, the global spot trading volume saw a substantial rise of 33%, increasing from $1.82 trillion in September to $2.42 trillion in October. While Binance achieved a 29% growth in spot volume, KuCoin experienced a remarkable surge of 218%, which was driven by promotional efforts and the rollout of new products.
In the derivatives sector, trading volumes were led by Binance, OKX, and Bybit, with KuCoin also expanding its reach. This competitive environment within centralized exchanges has intensified activity among associated blockchains.
During October, BNB Chain demonstrated exceptional performance, while Mantle, backed by Bybit, continued to grow steadily. Notably, Gate Layer emerged as one of the most widely adopted blockchains affiliated with centralized exchanges this month.
The increase in launchpools and new token offerings indicates that crowdfunding and token sales remain effective strategies within centralized exchanges. The combination of economic incentives, proprietary ecosystems, and reliable liquidity has positioned Gate as a key player for new token launches and the adoption of exchange-linked blockchains.
